The ODROID means Open + Android. It is a development platform with hardware as well as software.

Normally within two weeks when we have stock inventory. If not, it may take 4~7weeks for production lead time. We use the Fedex and it takes around 1 week all over the world. If your country is not covered by Fedex, it will be shipped via EMS.
What will I get when I buy one? ODROID-XU board, a heatsink/fan, a 5V/4A PSU and a shell case.
Why is the price in US Dollars? You are a Korean company! Most of components/devices we buy are priced in dollars. Because currency markets are too much volatile at the moment, we pice the final board in dollars to minimize changing of the price.

How does it boot?
You have to boot from SD card or eMMC.

Can I add extra memory?
No. The RAM is a PpP package on top of the SoC, so it’s not removable or swappable.
How can I get Android BSP source code?
It will be released on our download page from the first shipping date. (2013-Oct-10)
How can I root(rooting) the ODROID?
Unlocked/Rooted by default for developers
How can I install the Google Play (Android Market)?
Download GMS(Google Mobile Service) package from internet and install it with below instruction. 1. Unzip GMS package in gms directory for example. Enter into gms directory 2. adb remount 3. adb push system/ system 4. reboot and enjoy
How can I get schematics?
It will be delivered by email request with serial number on the board.

You need to ask to him/her who purchased it at first.
Can I get layout file and gerber file?
Can I get data sheet for all parts?
No. Available data sheets are all linked on our website. Others might need NDA process with chip manufactures.
Can you test it to make sure that it is suitable for ?
If you want to use it for something that we haven’t tested, and that it’s not intended for (i.e. anything but the educational work we’re planning for it), then that development work is up to you. But a lot of community members will try to answer for your question.
What is difference between ODROID-XU and ODROID-XU+E ?
There are 4 energy sensors only in the +E version. You can measure voltage/current/power of Cortex-A15, Cortex-A7, GPU and DRAM power consumtion in parallel. If you enable the energy tracking option of Android settings, power consumption of each power rails will show on display as a tranceparent overlay. You can also monitor CPU/GPU frequency(DVFS) and temperature of SoC.

I have a USB-Serial converter. Should I buy your USB-UART module kit? Yes. Because UART port of ODROID-XU is 1.8Volt interface. So the normal USB-Serial can't be used with ODROID-XU. We strongly recommend our USB-UART module kit.
How to access internet with ODROID-XU? - Use a 10/100 LAN Ethernet connection or Buy the WiFi module kit for wireless connection. or Buy the USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet module for faster connection.
What display can I use?
There are HDMI out and MIPI DSI digital out are available on ODROID-XU. HDMI can support only 720p/1080p resolution with 16:9 wide display. HDMI-DVI converter may work with many DVI monitors but a few of them will not work due to compatibility issue. There is no analog VGA/TV port.
We recommend 10.1 inch LCD kit with capacitive touch screen if you want to develop the modern user interface.
