What’s an ODROID-X2?
The ODROID means Open + Android. It is a development platform with hardware as well as software.

Do you have a distributor in my country?
No, you need to purchase it from our web-STORE directly. We ship worldwide.
I want to be a distributor in my country.

Is there a price negotiation if I purchase big quantity?
No, price is all the same.
What is payment method?
We use Paypal for worldwide excluding Korea.
I don't use Paypal. Can I transfer money to your bank account?
When/how you ship my order after payment?
Normally within two weeks when we have stock inventory.
If not, it may take 4~7weeks for production lead time.
We use the Fedex and it takes around 1 week all over the world. If your country is not covered by fedex, it will be shipped via EMS.
Where can I check my parcel tracking number?
If I do not enter the phone number, what happens?
Delivery might be delayed.
What will I get when I buy one?
Exynos4412 Prime CPU module, ODROID-X2 base board and heatsink which are pre-assembled and tested.
Why is the price in US Dollars? You are a Korean company!
Most of components/devices we buy are priced in dollars.
Because currency markets are too much volatile at the moment, we pice the final board in dollars to minimize changing of the price.

What SoC are you using?
The SoC is a Samsung Exynos 4412 Prime ARM Cortex-A9 Quad Core 1.7GHz.
What GPU does it include?
Mali-400 Quad Core 440MHz
Will the SoC overclock?
There’s a little overclocking headroom

How does it boot?
You have to boot from SD card or eMMC.
Can I buy OS pre-loaded SD card or eMMC?
Yes. Add to cart it when you purchase the storage devices.
Can I add extra memory?
No. The RAM is a POP package on top of the SoC, so it’s not removable or swappable.
How can I get Android BSP source code?
It will be released on our download page from the first shipping date.
How can I root(rooting) the ODROID?
Android 4.0.x on ODROID could be rooted with "Unlockroot" program.

How can I install the Google Play (Android Market)?
Download GMS(Google Mobile Service) package from internet and install it with below instruction.
1. Unzip GMS package in gms directory for example. Enter into gms directory
2. adb remount
3. adb push system/ system
4. reboot and enjoy
When can I get schematics?
It will be delivered by email request with serial number on the board.
I have ordered. Can I get schematics earlier?
No.
I have ODROID-X. Is it upgradable to ODROID-X2?
No.
I have purchased second-hand one. How can I get schematics?
You need to ask to him/her who purchased it at first.
Is the schematics of Exynos4412 Prime CPU module included?
Yes. You will get the full schematics of Exynos4412 Prime CPU module and ODROID-X2 base board.
Can I get layout file and gerber file?
No.
Can I get data sheet for all parts?
No. Available data sheets are all linked on our website. Others might need NDA process with chip manufactures.
Can you test it to make sure that it is suitable for ?
If you want to use it for something that we haven’t tested, and that it’s not intended for (i.e. anything but the educational work we’re planning for it), then that development work is up to you.

I have a USB-Serial converter. Should I buy your USB-UART module kit?
Yes. Because UART port of ODROID-X2 is 1.8Volt interface.
So the normal USB-Serial can't be used with ODROID-X2.
We strongly recommend our USB-UART module kit.
How to access internet with ODROID-X2?
- Use a 10/100 LAN Ethernet connection
or Buy the WiFi module kit for wireless connection.
DISPLAY
What display can I use?
There are HDMI out and RGB digital out are available on ODROID-X2.
HDMI can support only 720p/1080p resolution with 16:9 wide display.
HDMI-DVI converter will not work properly because Exynos4 HDMI is not compatible with VESA standard.
So most of old PC monitors can't be used.
We recommend LCD kit if your monitor/TV is old model.
LCD kit contains LCD panel + interface board + LVDS cable + power supply.
Is there touch screen on the LCD Kit?
No. There is no touch screen on the LCD. You need to source any touch screen and develop device driver for it.
If you want to use touch screen with LCD, we strongly recommend ODROID-Q which has 10-point multi-touch screen.
Where can I get HDMI cable?
You can purchase it from any open market such as ebay. Or you can purchase one on our website.
Micro-HDMI or Type-D connector is required.
My monitor doesn't have HDMI port. Any other display options are available?
You can use LCD kit which you can purchase on on our website.
Is there GPU binary file?
Yes. the GPU binary files is located in the Android root file system.
X11 binary is not available now. But we will try to get and release it soon.
AUDIO
Is sound over HDMI supported?
Yes.
What about standard audio in and out?
There is a standard 3.5mm jack for audio out and another one for audio in.
POWER
Which power adaptor should I use?
We recommend 5V 2A or 3A adaptor. Inner diameter is 0.8mm, outer diameter is 2.5mm. Center is Positiver an Outer is Negative.
Normally ODROID-X2 consumes about 1A in most cases. But it can go up to 3A if you use some USB hard disk drives in parallel.
SOFTWARE
What operating system (OS) does it use?
We recommend Android as our default distribution. The OS is stored on the SD card or eMMC.
Which Android version is included?
Android4.0.4
Is full source code open and can I build it by myself?
Yes.
But some of them are library(binary) format.
Do I need to patch for optional accessories that purchased from this website?
No
Will It run Ubuntu or other Linux distros?
Ubuntu 12.04 is installable. But, we need more optimization / configuration for hardware acceleration.
NETWORKING
Does the device support networking?
Yes. There is 10/100 RJ45 Ethernet port.
Is there WiFi?
It will be available via an optional USB dongle.
